OUR PROGRAM
SAFETY AND FUN
In 2016, Diane (the captain of Celtic Song) began assembling a community of enthusiastic sailors who share a passion for adventure, the sea, sailing, and learning. Today, the program has evolved into a learn/teach/sail program (with accompanying curricula and lesson materials for training) dedicated to having fun, staying safe, and expanding horizons.
The program offers an opportunity to sharpen one's sailing acumen, meet fellow sailors, and improve communication skills, and go on ocean adventures. Crew members give back and teach others.
Once lessons are completed, crew members are invited to reserve a berth on offshore passages. Currently our 2021 passages include Los Coronados, MX, Catalina and the Channel Islands, Baja Mexico and the Sea of Cortez. In May 2022, passages include the Archipelago of French Polynesia.
south pacific 2023
(see schedule for details)
Celtic Song will cross the Pacific in 2023 to French Polynesia, then spend the next three years exploring and cruising the islands of the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia. Crew will have the opportunity to sign up for various legs, making their own travel arrangements to and from the boat. Sign-up opportunities and a more detailed itinerary will evolve as we get closer to each expedition; detailed planning will begin in June 2021.
