We are having an amazing broad reach/wing n wing sail into San Jose
del Cabo right now.  Just received a weather report from Commander's
Weather.  Our weather route will be departing San Jose del Cabo Thurs
noon.  Arrive Cabo, anchor overnight and depart early morning. 

After a very bumpy night at La Ventana we decided not to suffer any more,
and hauled anchor at 0720 and are now underway to Los Frailes.  Everyone
is settling in great.  And life will be even better when we get a good
night's sleep at Frailes.  Yesterday we logged in 60 NM, skipped Balandra
because of the onslaught of tourists and powerboats. Motored through the
Canal de San Lorenzo, and sailed most of the day down Canal Cerralvo on a
beam reach with 14 - 17 Knots of wind.  I am happy to report all systems
are functioning.  Makes my day.  OK, signing off for now to raise sails.
Wind is out of the West at 15K.  All is well enough! 

Wonderful, friendly, happy La Paz. Successful provisioning - avocados, papaya, pineapples, melons, avocados. Lots of local yummy foods.  

Untying and heading out to Puerto Balandra this afternoon to anchor and explore.  Plan to go through the night to Los Frailes.   

Welcome to new Baja crew! Katarina and Francis!  Meeting up with Bonnie and Jean in San Jose Del Cabo sometime on Wednesday and hope to tackle Cabo Falso on Thursday. The beginning of the Baja Bash!

Diane, Francis, and Katarina arrive in La Paz today to do final provisions and untie the dock lines. 

It has been a busy 3 days since we left Puerto Escondido.
 
First stop was Aqua Verde and we connected with a small cruise ship called "UN Cruise" and joined them on a Mule ride along a ridge and into a Valley.  Was Fun :).  

Then we headed out to Los Gatos with some wind and arrived in the evening with a lot more wind.  I managed to get Sophia to shore for a brief time to do her thing and catch a few balls and make it back to the boat barely before dark.  Then the wind really came up that night and we decided not to go to shore for fear we may be blown out to sea.  Instead that morning, we hoisted anchor and pointed S E for San Everisito.  

All day we had 20 - 35 knot winds, double reef main only and sailing 6+knots.  Arriving just before dark it was difficult to find a spot to anchor because of all the boats hiding out from the wind.  On the third anchor attempt we nestled in the N. Side right up next to a high cliff in 13'.  Super protected from the wind but all were very tired and the
propane decided to stop in the middle of the day.....bummer.  However the tuna salad tasted great despite missing our barbeque chicken dinner.  And we all passed out about 9pm!

Currently we are heading for Isa La Partida under sunny skies with a following sea and winds.  Everyone is in there shorts and tee-shirts, thawing out from yesterday's salt and wind.  We managed to make coffee on the barbecue and hope to use it again tonight for dinner.  All is well, a little tired.  This is day 2 for Sophia on the boat only.  She is doing AOK.  However I know she will be happy to reach land later today and run for her ball.  Thanks for posting all the pictures.  I think one of the crew may write a blog later.
