3/27/21 Reefing, staysail and running backstays - Nile, KATARINA, Victoria, Diane

Super busy, windy and crowded day in the harbor.  Lots of Right Away situations  emphasizing the importance of maintaining a proper lookout and KNOWING THE RIGHT OF WAY RULES.  Two boats turned in front of us and forced us to changed course to avoid a collision.  Lesson learned - Pay full attention, maintain a proper lookout at all times, avoid vessels that appear out of control, look and plan four boats manuvers  ahead.  Before changing course ALWAYS look in front, to the sides and behind to make sure all is clear.

March 22, generator fresh water flush with salt away

Flush The generator with fresh water after use.  Using two buckets of fresh water, place the hose in the first bucket, turn the yellow valve toward the floor, turn on the generator and the water will be sucked out of the bucket into the heat exchanger.  When the first bucket is 3/4 empty move the hose to the second bucket.  When the second bucket is 1/2 empty turn the generator off.  Turn the yellow valve handle parallel to the floor so the Generator is ready to run in the normal position.
